The Dpartment of State has announced that Taiwan will soon be added to the list of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program. As a member of the visa waiver program, qualifying Taiwan citizens will be able to enter the United States without obtaining a visa.
Taiwan joins a growing list of countries (now 37) whose nationals are able to enter the US trough the visa waiver program.

Entering on the Visa Waiver Program allows an individual to remain in the United States for up to 90 days as a business or pleasure tourist. It does not allow an individual to work in the United States. Taiwan nationals will be eligible beginning November 1, 2012.
